We have guided hundreds of hunters to quality axis trophies since 2009. Extreme Axis Deer
Hunting is the perfect blend of beautiful native terrain and spectacular vistas of the island of
Moloka’i with the best hunting weather in the world and one of the largest herds of Trophy
Axis Deer in Hawaii on a four-thousand acre family owned ranch.

THE GUIDE
Our guides are born and raise on the island of Moloka’i. Surrounded by the exotic beauty of
the island and brought up in the Hawaiian culture, hunting axis deer has become a way of life
for food sustenance and conservation. The Ranch is a family-owned operation located on the
east end of Moloka’i. Our goal is to provide you with the most authentic hunting experience
and a cultural awareness of the island of Moloka’i, a special place we call home. Moloka’i
continues to be a rural island where subsistence is one of the basic economic activities.
THE AXIS DEER
ITS HISTORY
As a gift to our King Kamehameha V, 8 Axis Deer were released on Moloka’i in 1867; three
bucks, four does and one male fawn. As grazers, they prefer to eat grass, but they will browse
for just about anything which includes native plants. There are no known predators in
Hawaii, thus the axis deer evolves to give birth much more often than any other deer species.
Unlike other invasive species, the deer hold a special status on Moloka’i. Some native
Hawaiians consider it a cultural practice to hunt the animals for subsistence.

THE EXPERIENCE

Hunts are set up for 2 days
* All hunts require a deposit non-refundable fee at time of booking and final payment can be
made by Cash, Check or Venmo. Charges may require a 7% fee for GE taxes.
* All meat can be frozen and stored in our freezer until your departure, we usually stock 48-
quart coolers ($25.00 each) for our clients that can hold 50 lbs or less which most airlines
require the airlines is the least expensive way to get your Venison, Cape and antlers home.
* Firearms and binoculars are provided and available to our clients at a charge.
